Plumber Swords is an introduction service, not a plumbing company. One local plumber gets your request and deals with you directly. Gas and boiler work is only done by RGI-registered installers.
What a plumber costs in Dublin
Only one Swords-based plumber we found publishes an hourly rate, so these figures come from Dublin plumbers' own rate cards, checked 24 October 2026. All three include VAT.
Hourly rate. Across four Dublin plumbers' own rate cards, a weekday hour costs €95–€148 with VAT. As published, that's €95 incl. VAT (Dublin Plumber 24hrs) to €130 + VAT (Dublin Plumbing Services). We added VAT at 13.5% to the rates quoted + VAT. Based on: Dublin Plumber 24hrs, Dublin Plumbing Services, Hydroflow Plumbing & Heating, The Dublin Plumber (two include VAT, two quote + VAT).

Do plumbers charge a call-out fee?
Two of the five Dublin rate cards we found charge no call-out fee. The other three charge €95–€159 with VAT. Dublin Plumber 24hrs says: "If you approve the quoted work, we deduct the €95 from your final bill" (source). Ask before anyone comes out.
Do emergencies and out-of-hours cost more?
Yes. On the rate cards we found, an emergency or out-of-hours call-out costs €136–€284 with VAT (three plumbers), and evening, weekend and night labour runs €115–€260 an hour with VAT (two plumbers). In Swords, The Dublin Plumber charges €120 an hour on weekdays and up to €260 an hour at night, including VAT (source).

Who does gas and boiler work?
Only a Registered Gas Installer (RGI). By law, nobody else can do gas work in your home (CRU). If your job involves the gas boiler or a gas pipe, the person who comes out must be RGI-registered. You can check anyone on rgi.ie.
How fast will a plumber come?
We don't promise a time. We pass your request to one local plumber who covers your area, and the plumber contacts you to talk through the job and when they can come. If it's urgent, pick "Today" in the form so they know. If water is leaking, turn it off at the stopcock while you wait.
How much does it cost to unblock a drain in Swords?
Published prices to unblock a drain in normal hours run €80–€250, across four sources. Five of the six prices don't say whether VAT is included. Out of hours costs more: Dylex starts from €170 + VAT (source). Pick "Blocked sink, toilet or drain" in the form.
